Timeless, Elegant, Joyful
What provided the most inspiration for your wedding?
Our first date was a concert, and we've been singing and dancing together ever since, so our top priority was to create a joyful event where all of our guests would have a memorable and fun evening. When choosing our color palette, we both love the color blue, so we chose shades of blue with clean white details to keep everything timeless and elegant. I found design inspiration from chinoiserie and blue and white ginger jars - I grew up with them scattered throughout my childhood home and have always loved the elegant but unique flair each of them has. So it was really sweet getting to incorporate them throughout our floral design. I absolutely love, love, and overall I knew we wanted to gather all the people we love together to celebrate our love!!
What aspect of wedding planning was most exciting to you?
Honestly, all of it! I loved planning every single step of the day from the big picture to the tiny details and even the logistics. I love gathering people to celebrate, so I had so much fun dreaming up the perfect day to celebrate with the people we love the most! I definitely recommend using a wedding planner if you can! I loved our planner and trusted her with helping us plan the entire day because I knew she had our best interest in mind through it all! I also really loved spending time with my mom and my mother-in-law while dreaming up the perfect day - the time spent with them planning will always be some of my sweetest memories! We really tried not to sweat the small stuff and kept reminding ourselves that the most important part of the weekend was that we were getting married and starting our life together. At the end of the day, I married my absolute favorite person and best friend - and that's what matters most. While our wedding was a day for the history books, all the days that have followed have been just as sweet!!
What made you decide on Hazen for your big day?
When looking for anything I wore over the weekend I focused on my style to be timeless, elegant, and joyful. I have always loved Hazen's jewelry because it is timeless and elegant. It also brings me so much joy to have worn Hazen on my wedding day because one of my dearest friends works for Hazen, so I loved being able to support her and the company for such a special moment in my life. My hope for my Hazen earrings is for them to be someone's "something borrowed" on their wedding day, and that is exactly what I found with Hazen!!
