Shay Vaughn and Jacob Ziegler were wed in Pawley's Island on November 14, 2020 surrounded by their friends and family! We are so excited to feature their beautiful wedding day!
What provided the most inspiration for your wedding?
My inspiration came from the Kaminski House (our reception venue). I wanted the perfect mix of both of our styles and the place we were from.
The bride wore a custom Hazen bracelet
What aspect of wedding planning was most exciting to you?
My favorite part of wedding planning was finding the perfect details. For me it was all about the little things- the invitations, the shoes, the perfume, the ties, the shoes, the flower girls crown & wand & especially the jewelry. My mother and I went vintage furniture shopping to find the perfect pieces to incorporate at our wedding. At the entrance of the church, we had an old vanity that we used as our guest book table. We found old colonial Wilmington columns that were placed at the front of the church with our beautiful arrangements. We also found a vintage buffet table to act as the cake table.. At the reception, behind the head table, we had antique doors with beautiful wreaths behind us. These pieces set the tone of our event and they are things I can look at everyday and remember our wedding day.
What made you decide on Hazen for your big day?
For me, I knew I wanted timeless Pearls that wouldn’t just be for my wedding day, it’s something that myself and my bridesmaids could wear anytime. It’s Jewelry that I could even pass down to a daughter to wear at her wedding.
My wedding was a true dream. I look back at it and there’s not one thing I would change. It was so much fun and we were gathered with everyone we love. To any brides out there, remember to enjoy your day.
